My Book
Dave Dorsett finds a hidden compartment in his antique Welsh dresser. Inside is a stained, but detailed illustration of a stone circle surrounded by 18th century Latin text. As a one-time archaeologist, he realizes it’s a structure that has never been registered. He and his archaeologist daughter Amber start researching the possibility that somewhere in dense woodland in the highly scrutinized British landscape, the remains of a circle still exist. As they continue their research, the tragic story of an 18th century cult worshipping at the stones unfolds from the text and various archives. The circle’s remains may contain the cults buried ceremonial artefacts – that’s when the problems start.
Matt Bradley is addicted to his new metal detecting hobby. He searches every day for months until when sheltering from rain in woodland, he finds something very old and valuable. But this artefact has a secret history that causes nothing but trouble.
Amber involves Nathan, a publicity seeking historian and Latin translator, but is he working with a group of illegal treasure looting nighthawkers? Are subsequent break-ins and a murder, to do with him and his backer?
Dave and Amber must find the circle before the nighthawkers loot the site and anyone else is murdered.
