About The Author
Clive Ousley
Clive Ousley has worn many hats over the years, from working in printing and horticultural research to running a car-parts warehouse. He has also exhibited his paintings in prestigious galleries and illustrated for landmarks such as the Natural History Museum and Westminster Abbey. These days, his passion is storytelling. Dave Dorsett finds a hidden compartment in his antique Welsh dresser. Inside is a stained, but detailed illustration of a stone circle surrounded by 18th century Latin text. As a one-time archaeologist, he realizes it’s a structure that has never been registered. He and his archaeologist daughter Amber start researching the possibility that somewhere in dense woodland in the highly scrutinized British landscape, the remains of a circle still exist. As they continue their research, the tragic story of an 18th century cult worshipping at the stones unfolds from the text and various archives. The circle’s remains may contain the cults buried ceremonial artefacts – that’s when the problems start.

An ancient legend and a modern-day adventure – what's not to like?
Great to see someone breathing new life into the historical mystery genre. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book – it twists and turns as the Dorsett’s, their daughter Amber and her colleague Ben uncover more of the secrets of the old journal.
Can't wait for the next instalment – hope the good guys find the stone circle and the treasure first. I'm looking forward to finding out who the military-type guys are who're searching the woods and what they want.

A mystery starts with an old piece of furniture containing a hidden secret, leading eventually to the discovery of ancient artifacts. Imagination, intrigue, a gradual building of knowledge, and danger around each corner explode into a challenge that Dave and his daughter accept. To try to solve this mystery they will need expertise, perseverance under mounting odds and friends within the fields of archaeology and historical research.
Will they be successful, will they have the good fortune to avoid losing out to those with lesser morals? I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this novel and even loved going back and rereading certain passages with a new understanding.
